Monday, 11 November 2024: The month of November 2024 marks a busy period for Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr (TDF) preaching department, as the series of outreach and preaching tours continues to spread the spiritual teachings of Faqr across Pakistan. On this particular day, Dr. Sultan Mohammad Hasnain Mahboob, Sultan Mohammad Ahsan Ali, and Nouman Saqib visited the office of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr in Mian Channu, District Khanewal, where they were warmly welcomed by the local members and gathered attendees from the general public. The visit aimed to reinforce TDF’s message of spiritual enlightenment and invite participants to engage more deeply with the teachings of Sultan Bahoo, the revered Sufi saint and founder of the path of Faqr.
The gathering began with an introduction to the purpose and mission of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr. As the meeting progressed, Dr. Sultan Mohammad Hasnain Mahboob led a profound discussion on the beneficence and spiritual power of Ism-e-Azam (Ism-e-Allah Zaat). Dr. Hasnain Mahboob explained that Ism-e-Azam is not just a Divine name, but a powerful invocation that connects the seeker’s soul to the essence of Allah. He described how, when recited with sincerity and devotion, Ism-e-Azam has the power to purify the heart, instill inner peace, and elevate a person spiritually. By engaging in the remembrance of Ism-e-Azam, he shared, one can overcome worldly desires and fears, drawing closer to Allah and experiencing His presence within their soul.
The conversation then shifted to the role and significance of a Perfect Spiritual Guide (Murshid Kamil Akmal) on the journey of Faqr. Dr. Hasnain Mahboob emphasized that while many people seek spiritual knowledge, it is only with the guidance of a Murshid Kamil Akmal that a seeker can truly achieve enlightenment and reach the inner depths of their soul. He elaborated on Sultan Bahoo’s teachings, explaining that a Murshid Kamil Akmal is not only a teacher but a spiritual mentor who has traversed the path of Faqr and holds the wisdom and light to guide others along this challenging path. The Murshid helps seekers to shed their ego, cleanse their heart, and cultivate qualities such as humility, patience, and love for Allah. With the presence of a Murshid Kamil Akmal, the journey of Faqr becomes clearer, offering the seeker a direct path to union with the Divine.
In addition to these teachings, Dr. Hasnain Mahboob extended a heartfelt invitation to everyone to attend the upcoming Urs of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo, a spiritually significant event celebrating the life, teachings, and legacy of this great Sufi saint. He shared that the Urs is an opportunity for seekers and devotees to come together in remembrance, participate in collective worship, and immerse themselves in Sultan Bahoo’s message of Divine love, humility, and selfless devotion. Attending the Urs, he explained, provides a chance to draw closer to Allah, gain spiritual inspiration, and experience the blessings of Sultan Bahoo’s spiritual legacy firsthand.
As the meeting drew to a close, the TDF team made sure that the gathering ended on a note of generosity and fellowship by arranging Langar Paak (a blessed meal) for all attendees. The distribution of Langar Paak is a tradition in Sufi gatherings, symbolizing unity, humility, and selflessness, embodying Sultan Bahoo’s teachings on sharing and brotherhood. This meal served not only as a gesture of hospitality but also as a way for the community to come together, connect, and reflect on the spiritual discussions of the day.
The November preaching tours by Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr continue to illuminate hearts and minds with the message of Faqr, reaching out to people from all walks of life and guiding them toward spiritual enlightenment. Through gatherings like this, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr remains dedicated to strengthening the bonds of spirituality and unity within communities, fostering an environment where individuals can grow in their love for Allah and deepen their understanding of Sultan Bahoo’s timeless teachings.
