The late Kausar Niazi has said it well.
ان کی عظمت کی جھلک دیکھ کر معراج کی شب
کب سے جبرائیل کی خواہش ہے بشر ہو جائے
In our country, the event is celebrated like a religious festival, with a Shabedari ceremony organized to present a chapter on the virtues of the Night of Ascension, shared with everyone. On this occasion, sweets were distributed, and newspaper editions and TV programs brought a new dimension to the celebration. It is a unique voyage of eternal love and greatness, centered around the special meeting of the lover and the beloved.
The journey of Miraj is the journey that is completed in a very short time from Masjid al-Haram to Bait al-Maqdis and Sidrat al-Muntahi. If we consider the holy verse of Surah Bani Israel, all avenues of doubt and suspicion are automatically closed.
Gift:
There is no doubt about it; it is a well-established tradition that when someone visits another person’s home, a gift is always exchanged, whether given or received. When the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) was closer to the Kaaba o Kusain, the Almighty Allah bestowed the gift of Prayers upon His beloved. Prayers are a great gift for the believers, given through the Miraj of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). If only Muslims had appreciated this great gift of God with all their heart and soul and had made every effort in the practice of prayer, then today they would not have to face this misery, humiliation, and disgrace. Prayer is such a great pillar of the religion of Islam that its obligation was announced not on earth but on the night of Miraj, high and lofty above the heavens. It did not reach Allah, but Allah Himself gave the gift of prayer to His beloved Mohammad (S.A.W). It is also important to note that this gift did not reach the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) through Gabriel (A.S), but rather Allah Himself bestowed the gift of prayer upon His beloved Muhammad (S.A.W)
