A weekly event, Bazm-e-Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, is held at the Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. This spiritual gathering attracts seekers from across the country who come to benefit from the spiritual guidance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, the 31st spiritual guide of the Sarwari Qadri Order.
The Sarwari Qadri Order is a chain of spiritual guidance that originates from Hazrat Mohammad (S.A.W) and was passed to Hazrat Ali (RA). It then continued through great spiritual personalities like Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA), Sultan Bahoo (RA), Sultan Asghar Ali (RA), and now to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
The event follows a structured format: Recitation of the Holy Quran, Salutations upon the Holy Prophet (PBUH),Moral Speech, Supplication (Dua) and Distribution of Langar
The main purpose of this gathering is to purify the inner self, remove spiritual evils, and help attendees progress towards the ultimate level of Faqr—the essence of Islam. Faqr is the path to recognizing Allah, which can only be achieved under the guidance of a perfect spiritual mentor (Murshid Kamil).
