To honour the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in the Battle of Karbala, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr organised a heartfelt Zikr-e-Hussain gathering at the Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. The solemn event brought together spiritual devotees and members of the Tehreek to commemorate the essence of truth, steadfastness, and divine love exemplified by the martyrs of Karbala.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat and Manqabat in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The spiritual ambiance was enriched with the remembrance (Zikr) of Allah and heartfelt speeches highlighting the message of Karbala as a symbol of unwavering faith, sacrifice for truth, and resistance against tyranny.
The keynote address was delivered by Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman (مدظلہ الاقدس), who shed light on the spiritual significance of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom. He emphasised that true mourning of Karbala lies not only in sorrow but in adopting the path of righteousness, courage, and devotion to Allah.
He stated:
“The message of Karbala is eternal. It teaches us that real success lies in sacrificing one’s ego and desires for the sake of divine truth. The legacy of Imam Hussain (RA) will continue to inspire generations to rise for justice, love, and spiritual awakening.”
Devotees participated with great reverence, many moved to tears during the remembrance of the events of Ashura. The gathering concluded with a collective prayer for peace, unity among the Muslim Ummah, and the elevation of the souls of the martyrs of Karbala.
Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr continues its mission to revive the true Islamic spirit through the teachings of Faqr, which is the legacy of the Prophet ﷺ and the path followed by Imam Hussain (RA).
