Lahore — 13 April 2026: Sultan Bahoo and Faqr are inseparable realities in the spiritual history of Islam. Sultan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo — born on 1st Jamadi-us-Sani 1039 Hijri in Shorkot — was not merely a Saint of his era. He was the fifth Sultan-ul-Faqr, a living manifestation of the Mohammadan Reality, and the founder of the Sarwari Qadri Order that continues to guide sincere seekers of Allah to this day. His teachings, preserved and promoted by Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman Madzillah ul Aqdas, carry five profound secrets that every Muslim must know — secrets drawn from the deepest wells of Faqr, Salat, purification of the nafs, the Mohammadan Reality and the eternal chain of the Rashidun Caliphs.
Sultan Bahoo and Faqr: The Greatest Inheritance of the Prophet ﷺ
The first secret is that Faqr — the Divine path of Sultan Bahoo — is not a ritual or a spiritual exercise. It is the most precious inheritance of Prophet Mohammad ﷺ himself. Sultan Bahoo declared in his writings: “Al-Faqru Fakhari” — Faqr is my pride — was the declaration of the Holy Prophet ﷺ himself. This Divine treasure was transferred from the Prophet ﷺ to Hazrat Ali, from Hazrat Ali to Hazrat Hassan of Basra, and through an unbroken chain of perfect guides it reached Sultan-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo.
Today this living chain continues through Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman Madzillah ul Aqdas — the 31st Shaikh of the Sarwari Qadri Order. Faqr is not inherited by blood. Sultan Bahoo declared clearly: “Faqr is not ancestral property and cannot be inherited.” It is granted only by Allah to the one He chooses, through the mediation of the perfect Murshid Kamil.
The Mohammadan Reality: The Origin of All Creation
The second secret concerns the Mohammadan Reality — the foundational truth that the Noor of Mohammad ﷺ was the first thing Allah manifested from His own Essence and that all of creation emerged from that sacred Noor.
Sultan Bahoo taught that every sincere seeker who travels the path of Faqr under the guidance of the Murshid Kamil eventually reaches the Mohammadan Reality — the Noor of Mohammad — in his own inward. This is the ultimate station of Faqr. The Prophet ﷺ declared: “I am from the Noor of Allah and all the Momins are from my Noor.” This means the path of Faqr is in reality a journey of the seeker returning to his own sacred origin — the Mohammadan Reality — from which he was created.
The Soul of Salat: When Prayer Becomes Meraj
The third secret is about Salat — the five daily prayers that most Muslims perform as a ritual without experiencing its true spiritual reality. Sultan Bahoo taught that the real Salat is not merely the movement of the body. The real Salat is the Meraj of the Momin — the ascension of the believer’s soul to Divine Presence.
The Prophet ﷺ himself declared: “Salat is the Meraj of the Momin.” But this Meraj of Salat cannot be experienced without the purification of the innerself and without the contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat that is received from the Murshid Kamil. Sultan Bahoo declared that without the presence of the heart in Salat it is merely an empty physical performance and that the true Momin’s prayer must carry his soul all the way to the Divine Presence of Allah in every raka’at.
Purification of the Nafs: The Greatest Jihad
The fourth secret is the purification of the nafs — the innerself — which Sultan Bahoo described as the greatest Jihad. The nafs is the veil that stands between the seeker and Allah. It manifests in fifteen devastating spiritual diseases including arrogance, jealousy, envy, pride, malice, greed and pretence.
These diseases cannot be cured through outward worship and lengthy rituals alone. Sultan Bahoo taught that the only true cure for the diseases of the nafs is the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat under the direct guidance of the Murshid Kamil Akmal. When the burning light of Ism-e-Allah Zaat enters the heart, it incinerates every veil of the nafs and purifies the seeker’s soul until he becomes a true and transparent mirror of the Divine Essence.
The Rashidun Caliphs: Four Pillars of the Perfect Path
The fifth and final secret is about the Rashidun Caliphs — Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Usman and Hazrat Ali — whom Sultan Bahoo described as four rays of the same sacred Mohammadan light. Sultan Bahoo taught that Faqr is not complete without the spiritual attention of all four. Hazrat Abu Bakr represents truthfulness, Hazrat Umar represents justice, Hazrat Usman represents modesty and Hazrat Ali is the Door to Faqr through whom the Divine Trust was transferred to the entire Ummah. A seeker who wishes to walk the complete path of Faqr must embody all four qualities simultaneously — and this inner completion is only possible under the guidance of the living Murshid Kamil of the era.
Today, the living light of Sultan Bahoo and Faqr illuminates the world through Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman Madzillah ul Aqdas, at Masjid e Zahra, Village Rangeel Pur Sharif, Sundar Adda, Multan Road, Lahore.
